This album captures the multi-Grammy Award winning, platinum selling singer and songwriter in the element where fans love him the most - Live on stage The special concert includes three sets: an acoustic performance, a rare set with John Mayer Trio (with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino), as well as a set featuring Mayer's full band, all recorded during the night of December 8, 2007 at the Nokia Theater in LA. This album features the quintessential performer as an acoustic songwriter, electric guitar slinger, bluesman and vocalist. Highlights include many of Mayer's biggest hits, 'Waiting On The World To Change' new interpretations of cover songs, 'Free Fallen' and a previously unreleased Mayer gem 'In Your Atmosphere'.

The much anticipated double CD of John Mayer in concert includes all the guitar players hits, and the sound is unique. But the album is nothing more than a compilation of the different facets of Mayer, whose performance is divided into his three major stages. In the first part, he sings with the sole accompaniment of his acoustic guitar. Then he moves to a more jazz- and blues-inclined trio format (guitar, bass, and drums). Finally, Mayer joins his entire band with a rock sound. The truth is that the musician did not make the least effort to come up with new arrangements for his songs. If you have Mayers previous live CDs, theres is not a single note here that you havent heard before.
